Resolute Baptist Hospital Celebrates Milestone Anniversary
Jul 19, 2019On June 24, 2014 Resolute Baptist Hospital opened on 56 acres, surrounded by nothing but farmland as far as the eye could see. In five short years the thriving Creekside community has sprung up around the hospital bringing retail, restaurants, apartments, condos and more to the region. Resolute serves a tri-county area including New Braunfels in Comal County, one of the fastest growing communities in the country. When the hospital opened, the population in New Braunfels was 63,000. Today it has suprased 85,000. The hospital prides itself on providing quality care and has been able to improve access to care, increasing the number of patients served by over 25%. The first year the hospital was opened it saw 7,329 ER patients. That number has since grown to more than 26,000 patients a year. At a 5th anniversary celebration event, Resolute CEO Mark Bernard congratulated employees and physicians on their achievements. “Thanks to you we consistently achieve high marks in patient satisfaction and quality,” Bernard said. “We are meeting our financial goals and growing our programs and services to meet the demands of our growing community.” Resolute has earned an “A” LeapFrog grade five times in a row. The hospital was the first in New Braunfels to offer robotic surgery, is the only hospital with a surgical spine program in the community and has been voted Best Hospital in New Braunfels several years running. The hospital is Silver LEED certified and has won several civic awards for landscaping. Patients love the beautiful grounds, architectural design aimed at enhancing healing as well as the compassionate and personalized care they receive from Resolute staff and physicians. Happy Anniversary Resolute!
