April is Volunteer Month and Resolute Baptist Hospital is recognizing their more than 80 volunteers who are a crucial part of the hospital’s care team.
Pamela Dietz is Resolute’s Volunteer Coordinator. She is passionate about her Care Crew team and the important role they play at the hospital. “Life-changing events happen every day at Resolute Baptist Hospital,” says Dietz. “This includes our amazing volunteers. They help to shape an important chapter in someone’s life. They provide comfort, assistance and hope – just by being there. They are the face and spirit of Resolute Baptist Hospital. They are the way-finders for our patients and visitors, a listening ear and much, much more.”
Resolute’s Care Crew serve Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in three areas: at the Procedural Services Desk helping patients to check in, at the Welcome Desk, providing wayfinding and driving the hospital’s shuttle cart, and at the Information Desk.
Pamela is a believer that powerful things happen when one volunteers. She says by giving to others through volunteering, they connect with their community, create friendships and bring support and meaning into their lives. “This is why on any given day, we have more than 80 volunteers who stay with us, some since the hospital opened over four years ago. One thing is for sure, when one volunteers at Resolute Baptist Hospital, they IMPACT many lives. The patient’s, family members, guests and their own. It is my honor to serve these precious people who are full of life and generosity.”
